About me
I have 15 years of experience teaching. I have taught a range elementary grades, from 6th to kindergarten. My first year as a teacher I taught 5th grade on the Hopi reservation in Arizona. After that, I taught 6th grade for two years in Columbus Elementary, part of the Deming School District. Then I taught 5th grade for 5 years at Mesilla Park Elementary in Las Cruces, and did 3 years of kinder there as well before moving to the Gadsden District. This past school year was my 5th year with GISD, having taught 4th, 5th, and kindergarten at Berino Elementary. This past year I taught Kindergarten at Berino Elementary in a Dual Language self-contained classroom. Next school year I will be teaching second grade at a new school in a self-contained classroom, which is also part of the Gadsden School District.
