I have been in education in New Mexico for 17 years. My experience is as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and professional development facilitator. Currently I work as a Reading and Math Specialist with CORE (Collaborating for Outstanding Readiness in Education) at New Mexico State University. A huge part of our work is with the ECLIPSE Project with NMPED. We provide instructional coaching at 40 rural schools across the state. The focus of our work is literacy for special education students in K-3rd grade. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University.
