About me
The field of education has played a major role in my life for the past 38 years. It began in 1984, when I graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso and became a bilingual teacher for the next 16 years. Upon earning my Master's in Reading, I became an ELA teacher for the next 14 years. Upon my retirement from Texas, I continued my career in education at the Gadsden Independent School District, where I am currently employed. I taught 7th grade ELA for 1 year, and then moved into my current position as an Instructional Coach. At the present time, I still maintain a strong passion for what I do. I hope to continue to make a difference in the lives of children and teachers, just as I have done for the past 38 years. Children are our future, and we must work to help them acquire all the knowledge they need to lead us into the future!
