About me
Patricia Essig has been an educator in both Texas and New Mexico for over 18 years. Raised in New Mexico, Patricia started her career in Dallas, Texas teaching English Language Learners in a Title I school. She has taught Kindergarten through 8th grade as teacher, reading interventionist, and school librarian earning master’s degrees in general education, reading and library science. Since returning to New Mexico, Patricia is a level III teacher leader has served as a classroom teacher and structured literacy coach and is completing her school counseling degree. She was honored to be a Texas Library Association TALL Texan, a Lifetime PTA award recipient and Emberlee’s Nana.
