About me
Pili Burkett holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from University of Portland and an M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership with a focus on Special Education and Policy from Chaminade University of Honolulu. With over a decade of experience in education, Pili has served her local communities in both Hawai'i and New Mexico as an Elementary General and Special Education teacher, Director of Special Education at a local K-8 charter school, High School Reading Interventionist, and Data Coordinator. In her current role as a Structured Literacy Coach, Pili is committed to advancing equitable, evidence-based literacy practices that meet the needs of every learner. Known for blending evidence-based literacy practices with a mindset that "real Gs move in silence like lasagna," Pili believes that transformation in education starts when we’re willing to “sit down, be humble,” and listen deeply to both data and communities.
