About me
Mindy Tapia has been an educator since 1999, with over 20 years of experience in elementary education and instructional leadership. She has taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades and currently serves as an Elementary ELA Content Specialist. Holding degrees in sociology (B.A.), Curriculum and Instruction (M.Ed.), and Business Administration (MBA), Mindy blends educational expertise with leadership. As a certified LETRS facilitator, she helped bring LETRS training to Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS), supporting evidence-based literacy practices. Passionate about Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading, she is committed to helping teachers implement research-backed instruction that empowers all students to become confident, skilled readers.
