About me
Maria Cleofe Palma is a dedicated educator from the Philippines with over 20 years of experience, including four years as a Special Education Math teacher at Alamogordo High School, where she currently teaches Geometry and Financial Literacy resource classes while also co-teaching Algebra 2. Maria is passionate about creating inclusive and engaging learning environments, focusing on differentiated instruction and the integration of technology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Education at the University of the Southwest to align her knowledge with the U.S. SPED educational system and further enhance her expertise in meeting the diverse needs of her students. Maria has facilitated seminar workshops for fellow educators and serves as a district mentor for new teachers. She believes in empowering students through personalized learning, emphasizing that technology is here to assist, not replace, us. Committed to using various digital tools and technologies, she creates student-centered classrooms where both students and teachers can leverage technology to maximize learning. As we live in an era dominated by technology, Maria believes it is essential for educators and learners alike to embrace these tools to enhance engagement, foster creativity, and facilitate deeper understanding
