Jacob Mondragon, a seasoned educator with 15 years of experience, has dedicated his career to teaching in diverse educational settings, including private, charter, and larger public schools. His teaching expertise spans across various subjects such as music, fine arts, and math.
Jacob embarked on his teaching journey at the young age of 20, taking on the challenge of student teaching a middle school music class. In just three years, his passion and dedication led to the expansion of the school's music department, resulting in a full-time teaching position.
Despite initially majoring in Philosophy/Theology for his Bachelor's degree, Jacob pursued an alternative licensing route, choosing New Mexico Highland University to fulfill his NM PED license requirements. Remarkably, during this process, he concurrently pursued and completed a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at NMHU within one year.
His academic focus delved into the realm of educational data analysis, particularly exploring its relevance to online learning amid the challenges posed by Covid-19 state mandates. Jacob Mondragon's commitment to education and his multifaceted experiences make him a valuable asset to the field.
Beyond his role in education, Jacob assumes the roles of a devoted husband and father, finding joy in camping and exploring new destinations with his family. Impressively, he boasts proficiency in playing a remarkable 12 different musical instruments, showcasing his diverse talents. In his leisure time, you can find Jacob indulging in a spirited game of frisbee, a testament to his active and playful spirit.
