About me
Heather Conklin is a Senior Program Associate for Literacy at WestEd. Heather designs, facilitates, and supports professional learning initiatives for Reading Apprenticeship and has been deeply involved in work across the state of New Mexico in the past few years. In addition to her work with Reading Apprenticeship, Heather provides technical assistance to secondary schools, districts, and educational agencies nationwide, focusing on enhancing literacy outcomes. Prior to coming to WestEd, Heather served nearly 30 years in education, as a teacher, instructional coach, and Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.
