About me
Elisa is responsible for outreach activities in West Texas and Southern New Mexico, and for helping the Dallas Fed build a robust understanding of the U.S./Mexico economic relationship. Elisa is also responsible for promoting economic education and personal financial literacy.
Early in her career, Elisa worked to promote higher education to low income and first-generation students and worked in the community as a public health practitioner. Prior to the Dallas Fed, Elisa worked with the Texas Department of State Health Services supporting the Commissioner. With the United Way of El Paso County, Elisa led an initiative in West Texas, Southern New Mexico, and Cd. Juarez focused on providing enriching out of school time opportunities for youth. Elisa also worked on Capitol Hill – as a staffer in the House and Senate – with a portfolio that included health and education. Elisa worked in the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee under the Chairman, Lamar Alexander (Tennessee), and for Senator Tom Udall (New Mexico).
Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Elisa received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Texas San Antonio and her MBA from the Texas A&M University-San Antonio.
