April Severino, an Award-Winning speaker, literacy consultant, former principal, and educator is a dynamic and energetic presenter whose accolades include Florida’s Teacher of the Year and nominee for Disney’s American Teacher Award. She has also been a keynote and featured speaker at many State Reading Conferences and has gained recognition across the country for improving reading and writing scores in struggling and high performing schools. Having devoted over thirty years of her career to education, literacy remains April’s passion, and she understands the importance of constructing a learning environment that maximizes every student’s ability to learn effectively. She specializes in up-to-date, research based proven strategies for reading and writing and assists schools in finding the inspiration, courage, and resources to nurture a joyful and authentic literacy classroom!
